Larger Gutter Installation Across from Weaver Lake, Maple Grove

This home sits in northwest Maple Grove, across from Weaver Lake and just north of Rush Creek Golf Club, right at the edge where Maple Grove’s suburban developments give way to the more rural land toward Corcoran. It’s a larger two-story with a walkout lower level, so the back elevation stands tall where the lot steps down.

We installed a complete seamless aluminum system with the gutters and downspouts color-matched to the home’s warm butterscotch siding, so the system reads as part of the exterior rather than an add-on. Out front, a few runs were kept in white to line up with the home’s white porch trim. We decided to match the siding where it makes sense and the trim where it makes sense, rather than forcing one color across the whole home.

Because it was a larger home with a walkout, downspout placement and volume mattered. A back gutter was positioned specifically to catch runoff coming off the upper roof line and carry it away from the deck and the lower level. This was done to protect the outdoor living space and the basement from water that would otherwise sheet down onto them. On a home this size near a lake, keeping roof water controlled and directed away from the foundation is exactly what a well-planned system is for.
