Expanding an Existing Window Opening for a Better View

At first glance, this project seemed like a small 3-window replacement. However, the homeowner wanted the windows to be bigger! It was important to them because this was their kitchen sink and they wanted to be able to see more out into the back yard where the kids play. After meeting with them, we went back to the office and put our heads together to come up with a plan to get this done. This is a tricky request because it usually means reframing the wall and designing new plans for the structure. After some planning, we figured out a way to make the windows wider with minimal framing. And this was a great time for this, as they were planning a kitchen remodel as well.
