Replacing Hail Damaged Fascia with New EDCO Steel Fascia

Challenge: Weathered and Hail-Damaged Fascia

Years of exposure to Minnesota’s harsh weather had left the home’s original white fascia faded and worn. A recent hail storm had damaged multiple surfaces on the facia and roofing materials. In scenarios like this, it can be tempting to think the issue is simply aesthetic. However, fascia helps to protect the roof line and prevent water from damaging the home structure. The entire fascia needed replacement to restore both form and function.

Solution: EDCO Steel Fascia

We removed all damaged fascia and installed new steel fascia. The homeowner chose EDCO Steel Fascia in Glacier White. Homeowners who go with EDCO tend to appreciate the durability of the product. Unlike traditional wood fascia, the steel in EDCO materials is manufactured to withstand hail, high winds, and extreme temperature swings. This means less repairs and replacements in the future. Steel also prevents fading, cracking, and peeling, which equates to lower maintenance. 

EDCO fascia is designed with a white wood grain texture. This mimics the look of painted wood but is much more durable. It complemented the home’s exterior very well. 

Conclusion

Our homeowners were very happy with the final result of the home. The next step for this project will be putting on gutters! We install 5″ Seamless K-style gutters with our in-house gutter team. Having employees doing the installation helps with scheduling the gutters and allows less wait time on gutter installs.
