The Purpose of Soffit & Fascia on a Home

One of the most overlooked details on a home exterior is the soffit and fascia. Siding, gutters, and roofing get most of the attention, but a wrong soffit/fascia choice can make or break the look of your exterior. They also play a huge role in preventing pests from getting inside your home and keeping a solid barrier between your home and the elements.

Soffit: This is located on the underside of your roof overhang. The purpose of soffit is to ventilate the attic area of your home. Proper airflow helps regulate temperature and moisture and prevents mold growth and wood rot.

Fascia: This is the vertical board that runs along the edge of your roof. It acts as the secure attachment point for your gutters. It also seals off the roof edge, preventing water damage to your roof deck and exterior walls.

				It has been nearly one year since we had our new roof and gutters installed. Kingdom Builders did a great job. Meeting all of our expectations. They were quick to respond to a question we had about our new vents. They were right about the gutter guard also. Allen has not had to clean the gutters once in a year. we heard about Kingdom from a close friend. Who was happy with the work they had done for him. I recommend them highly!

				Great job looks great after a total tear off of 2 layers of siding,roof,redeck roof and replace. Fixing a leak we have had for years on a flat roof part. Great job no leaks anymore. Reside ,insulate,cutters and more. All crews on this project were top of line with knowledge of there job.
