Successful Re-Roofing & Gutter Project at Free Lutheran Bible College
At The Kingdom Builders, we take pride in helping organizations maintain and improve their facilities. Recently, we had the privilege of working with Free Lutheran Bible College in Plymouth, MN, to re-roof six of their campus buildings. We also installed new gutters on three of the buildings. Each structure had its own unique requirements, and we tailored our approach to meet the specific needs of the project.
Careful Coordination for Living Spaces
The majority of the buildings we worked on were living spaces for students, which meant we had to be especially mindful of the residents. Our goal was to complete the job efficiently while minimizing any disruption to daily life on campus. This required careful coordination with the college administration to ensure that our work didn’t inconvenience students and staff more than absolutely necessary.
By staggering the re-roofing schedule and closely monitoring our work, we were able to keep the campus functional and safe throughout the project.
Atlas Pinnacle Pristine Shingles Chosen for Project
For this project, we chose Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingles, known for their durability and excellent protection against algae, thanks to the 3M Scotchgard™ technology. The Atlas shingles are also larger in size compared to most other manufacturers. The planes on the roofs are larger, and having a larger shingle saves a few additional rows of shingles. These shingles offer not only exceptional performance
but also enhanced curb appeal, which is important for any institution looking to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Efficient Debris Management with an Equipter
To keep the job site as clean and organized as possible, we used an Equipter for debris management. This innovative tool allows us to collect and remove old shingles and other waste without creating a mess around the buildings, especially in areas where students and faculty need access. To haul the debris away, we used our dump trailers. It was more work for our crew to use these trailers instead of having dumpsters, but the ability to move the trailers around where needed helped minimize the disruption at the campus.
The Scenic Campus Location
Free Lutheran Bible College is nestled in a beautiful area just off of Medicine Lake Regional Trail. The serene surroundings of the college added a special atmosphere to this project. We were able to complete our work without disturbing the natural beauty of the campus, maintaining the integrity of the outdoor spaces that students and staff enjoy.
